Development of the 959 began In 1981. The head engineer at Porsche, Helmut Bott wanted to create a sports car based on the 911 that would take it to the next level in performance, technology and design. The PSK 4-wheel drive system was the techological highlight of the 959. PSK, which did add weight to the car, could vary the ratio of torque to the front & rear wheels. |
