LOTUS CARLTON |
|
The Lotus Carlton was a Vauxhall Carlton saloon, Opel and Vauxhaul who wanted to improve the image of thier platform car. Lotus used the Vauxhaul Carlton 3.0 GSi 24v as a base for the car, improving almost every component. The external differences were minimal to the five seater with only the rear spoiler, a couple of air intakes on the bonnet, Lotus badges on the front wings and bootlid, and considerably wider wheel arches telling it apart from any other Carlton. This super-tuned saloon offered the the fastest four-door experince in 1989. It was leaps and bounds ahead of the competition which included the BMW M5. |
