Located on Stewart Island, which lies just south of New Zealand, the Lodge is run by the Wright?s who designed a cozy, homey feel for their Island retreat. In addition to the over 2000 species of birds, Stewart Island is known for spectacular sunsets and the mystical lights of the Aurora Australis, both of which can be admired from the Lodge?s long veranda. Nestled in the trees above Halfmoon Bay, the Lodge offers spectacular views of the surrounding hills and bay.
