This is the site of the Grand Hotel Cocumella, built in the 16th century as a Jesuit monastery and converted to a hotel in 1822.The hotel has 50 elegant air-conditioned bedrooms and suites charmingly furnished in the local tradition with antiques. Special ,features range from a seaside solarium and a private chapel for concerts, to Cocumella's own tall ship 'Vera', built in 1880 and used for day cruises along the Amalfi Coast and to Capri. ,The Scintilla Restaurant, romantically overlooking the park, serves Mediterranean cuisine, accompanied by fine Italian wines.
