Overview:
The hotel stands at the foot of a range of hills close to Lucca, and is housed in a perfectly restored villa. The villa would appear to have been rebuilt in the early eighteenth century by an official who was part of the retinue of Elisa Baciocchi, Napoleon's sister.
The five-star hotel is fully air-conditioned and consists of ten luxurious suites, bar, restaurant and salons replete with eighteenth-century furniture, fabrics and carpets designed on the basis of illustrations from the period.
The restaurant is situated in a Victorian-style conservatory, surrounded by a luxurious garden of bushes, flowers and aquatic plants. The garden is crossed by a burbling brook and contains a large and elegant swimming pool.
